Passage: Psalm 62 (NIV 2011)
May we be able to say this:
Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken [v. 1-2].
As we read this passage, we realize that today… just as was the case back then… people are not always going to be in our corner; they are not always going to be supportive of us. In addition to salvation coming from the Lord, the psalmist notes that he can rest in God; he knows his hope comes from Him [v.5]. May we place our hope in Him. May we know that we can stand in times of distress, trouble, or sorrow; we will not be shaken [v.6]; He will restore. May we remember to trust in him at all times…; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge [v. 8]. May we also remember that the power belongs to you, God, and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and, You reward everyone according to what they have done [v. 11-12].
May you have blessed day as you serve Him in some small way today.
