Matthew 2:2 (NIV 1984)
“Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.”

King Herod spoke untruthfully when he said he wanted to worship the king of the Jews. Thankfully the wise men saw through his deceitfulness.
