Faithfully Yours Forever

Verses: Matthew 10:28-32 (NIV)

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.  And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Father God, I pray You will guard our hearts, minds, souls, and bodies from those that may seek to harm us in any way.  May we trust that no matter what we have to endure that You will be with us – to comfort us, to reassure us, and to ultimately guide us into eternity.  Trusting also in the work of Your son, Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Verses: Matthew 9:5-6, 12-13 (NIV)

Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins…”

 Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’  For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Father God, may our hardened hearts be softened toward others that find themselves living without a relationship with You, through Christ.  May we be used to guide them toward Christ.  May we also remember, but for Your grace we would be eternally lost. Amen.

Verses: Matthew 7:24-26 (NIV)

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

Father God, I pray in the name of Jesus, that we may have ears to hear and hearts and minds, and bodies that are prepared to act.  May the wisdom gained from knowing You produce fruit that endures.  Amen.

Verse: Matthew 7:7-12 (NIV)

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Father God, may Your will be done in the lives of those who seek You.  We thank You for Your daily provision and Your abundant mercy and grace.  May we learn to fully trust in You.  In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.
