Faithfully Yours Forever

Verses: Matthew 6:25-26; 33-34 (NIV)

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Father God, Thank you for the reminder that it is not about the physical; our bodies, our clothes, or what we eat or drink.  Help us to trust that You will take care of our needs.  May we be anxious for nothing and rid our minds of worry.  May we focus on what is important; knowing You and advancing Your kingdom.  All these things and more I pray in the name of Jesus, amen.

Verses: Matthew 6:9-13 (NIV)

“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’

Father God, You are holy.  We yearn for Your kingdom ways to be experiences here and now by all of Your children.  May all our needs be met according to Your will.  May you protect us and guide our lives in a way that is honoring to You.  Amen.

Verses: Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)

 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. ¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Father God, how blessed and honored we are to be used by you to advance Your kingdom.  May those who know and meet us see the light of Jesus in us.  May we be a beacon for those who desire to find you or grow in their knowledge of You.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.

Verses: Matthew 5:7-10 (NIV)

Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Father God, I pray that we may extend mercy toward others as You have faithfully extended it to us.  May we be worthy of those blessing You have bestowed upon us as we prepare to enter into Your kingdom.  In the name of Your Son, Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Verses: Matthew 5:3-6 (NIV)

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.

Father God, may our spirits be lifted and our hearts be healed.  May we be courageous and without fear as we face life’s challenges.  May we trust you, both physically and spiritually, for our daily provisions.  Amen.
