The River Run Church of the Nazarene has just started a new series of daily messages on this blog. Anticipating His coming: Micah 5:2-5a (NIV 1984)
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”
Therefore Israel will be abandoned until the time when she who is in labor gives birth and the rest of his brothers return to join the Israelites.
He will stand and shepherd his flockin the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.
And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth.
And he will be their peace.
REMINDER: River Run Church of the Nazarene to Hold a Special Candlelight Service to Celebrate Christmas
The River Run Church of the Nazarene in Detroit will be holding a Special Candlelight Service on Sunday evening, December 23. Come join us for a time of fellowship, beginning at 6:00 PM. Light refreshments will be available. A gift exchange [$3-$6 value], for those who want to participate, will be held after a brief Christmas message is given. We will conclude our service time with Christmas carols, a candlelight circle, and the singing of Silent Night. All activities will be held in the Town Meeting Room of the DetroitTown Hall, located at 35 South Main Street in Detroit, Maine. This event is free and open to the public.
The River Run Church of the Nazarene seeks to connect with people in the Sebasticook Valley area. Our church gathers each Sunday in the Detroit Town Hall. We begin with an adult small group study at 9:30 AM followed by our Morning Worship Service at 10:30 AM. Small group studies may be scheduled at different times and locations during the week.
